In the movie, there’s a big idea of two sides or personalities, shown through Nina and Lily. Nina is like the delicate and fragile White Swan, while Lily is more like the confident and free Black Swan. Their characters show different sides of a person’s personality or behavior. Throughout the film, viewers witness Nina’s descent into psychological turmoil as she wrestles with perfectionism, obsession, and the blurred boundaries between reality and illusion. Themes of identity, repression, and the dark side of ambition are skillfully explored.
A key element of the film is the portrayal of Nina’s “doppelgänger,” represented by her rival Lily, which symbolizes Nina’s internal conflict with her own desires and fears. This internal struggle culminates in a shocking climax.

With its striking visuals and haunting soundtrack, “Black Swan” not only entertains but also encourages contemplation on the human psyche and the extremes individuals will go to pursue their aspirations. It serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of mental health and the importance of self-awareness and acceptance.
